New Entries and Updates - e-mails |
| What I'd like to see in your e-mail |
| Here's what would make a perfect e-mail, which I can process very quickly. Please put within the body of the email: |
|
| If possible please also put the name of the choir in the subject line of the e-mail. This will enable me to sort the emails alphabetically and speed up the updating. Also try to avoid making the comment 'date' dependent (i.e. including next concert details) as unexpected delays in updating may make the comments out of date as soon as they are live. |
Data Protection Issues |
| Under the Data Protection Act E-mail addresses are considered personal data. By submitting your details to a public listing web site you imply consent to publish your e-mail and web site addresses. Data published on this site is primarily collected from choirs themselves who submit details for listings. In addition data is collected using Internet Searches and published reference material, such as the British Music Yearbook and Local Library listings. |
| If you wish to be removed from the listings please e-mail philliptolley@colcanto.co.uk |
| Emails will be used to promote your
choir activities and will not be supplied to 3rd parties for direct
marketing without your consent.
|
| SPAM - By making your email address visible in a public listing site, search engines and extraction tools can be used by mailing and collection companies, to collect email addresses for mailing/advertising use. Certain tools can be used to reduce this extraction either by encoding your email address, or by linking to a choir web site address and hiding the contact email details within that site. It also improves your privacy if you use non-personal email addresses such as secretary@yourchoir.co.uk, or info@yourchoir.co.uk rather than janesmith@yourchoir.co.uk |
