of the university and members of the general public. We offer a
friendly environment in which music lovers of all ages and from
all walks of life can enjoy singing a variety of works. We

Resonants, Canberra
The Resonants is a young adults choir that
has been delighting Canberra and the region’s audiences for over
twenty years. We are an award winning choir, and Helen Swan, the
founder and conductor of the group, inspires and directs us
through a varied sacred and secular musical landscape. We have
produced four CDs featuring the breadth of our repertoire, and
perform up to four ‘themed’ concerts a year, with one of these
having all proceeds donated to a local charity. We are always
keen to meet other people who love to sing and who might be
interested in joining us, so if that is you, have a look at the
recruitment page for more information.

Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Choir
In 2011 the
Royal Melbourne Philharmonic celebrates its 158th year of
music-making in Melbourne, making it Australia's oldest
surviving cultural organisation and one of the oldest secular
choirs in the world.Today, the 120-voice Royal Melbourne
Philharmonic Choir continues to present critically acclaimed
performances to audiences in Melbourne. It is committed to the
encouragement and fostering of young musicians, and is
recognised by many as Melbourne's premier symphonic choir. The
RMP's choristers are strictly auditioned, and are voluntary
musicians who share a common love of choral music, and who give
their time freely in the pursuit of musical excellence.
