John Paul II International Choir Festival of Sacred Music MUNDUS CANTAT GDANSK  in spirit of the world peace, we are honored to invite you to take part in the 1st edition of John Paul II International Choir Festival of Sacred Music MUNDUS CANTAT GDANSK, named after Pope John Paul the Great, who made history by being a vocal advocate for human rights and using his influence to effect political changes.

The festival will be held in historical birthplace of the Solidarity movement which, under the leadership of political activist Lech Walesa, played a major role in bringing an end to Communist rule across Central Europe. A thousand-year history location at the crossroads of important commercial and communication routes, an extensive port and mercantile traditions - all this makes Gdansk a meeting place of many cultures, nationalities and denominations. Feel invited to join us in our prayers in these hard times of constant battle for the world piece. Let’s voice our common desire to stop the violence. Let the imploring prayers of united choirs from all over the world fill the most breath-taking insights of Gdansk churches. Because “He who sings, prays twice”!

Welcome to Gdansk - a city blessed with incredible architecture and a long history of Catholicism, home of many spectacular cathedrals and churches.

Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival 2016 The first annual Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival was hosted by VIA MUSICA (Vienna International Association for Music and Culture Exchange) in July 2007. Already during its first year, Vienna's new global festival realized its two main objectives: to provide a unique platform for the world's most talented youth choirs, bands and orchestras to perform in Vienna's magnificent Musikverein and to set new standards in the festival arena. Although the SCL Festival takes place on only 5 days of the year, it is a continuous project, that aims at providing unique experiences every year.  New and exciting festival venues are constantly added in and around Vienna and, in the effort to expand to our Eastern European neighbours, to the countries bordering on Austria.
