The choir is based in Göteborg,
Sweden, and since 1926 over 600 choristers have sung in the choir on
a regular basis. The members of the choir are all amateurs and every
new applicant is tested individually before being accepted.
Sixty-five singers and a marvellous conductor, Mr Thomas Lagerberg.
We sing practically everything, a fantastic mixture at a blinding
pace, sacred and secular, ā capella or with accompaniment.

The Sofia Vocal Ensemble,
Stockholm, Sweden, was established in 1993. The 30 or so members are
men and women aged 18-30 years old. The choir rehearses continuously
in the congregation of Sofia church, Stockholm. Most of the singers
were educated at the music schools of Adolf Fredrik (compulsory
school), Stockholms musikgymnasium (upper secondary school) and
Södra Latins gymnasium (upper secondary school). Some singers are
music students at college level. Bach, Mahler, Mäntyjärvi,
Palestrina and Poulenc are composers from the repertoire.
