- The Bonner Kammerchor falls into the category of a mixed amateur choir of
approximately 40 members who meet once a week for practising. Occasional weekend
rehearsals are added prior to performances. The fact that the choir is made up
of working people and students as well has proved to be successfull since it
enables a balance to be achieved between continuous membership and repertory
singing on the one hand, and renewal of the choir´s sound from time to time on
the other.
-
Braunschweig Polizeichor (Brunswick Police Male Voice
Choir) The choir was formed in 1975
by musically-interested police officers, and has become one of
the leading male voice choirs in south-east Lower Saxony. Our
repertoire includes not only traditional German folk songs but
also modern and new choral pieces, taken both from the worlds of
spiritual and popular music. At the current time our choir
numbers some 60 members, made up not only from all departments
of the German Police service, but also from interested citizens
- forming a bond between the Police and Public.

singers found the Deutscher Kammerchor + the work of the choir centres on the
singers themselves + their freelance situation contributes to maintaining the
high standard of the choir + decisions regarding the repertoire, forces required

English
Choir, Berlin
- The English Choir Berlin
was formed in the summer of 2013 to
accompany Evening Prayers
at the Berliner Dom, the cathedral
church for the State of Berlin. It sings both organ-accompanied and
a cappella works. It's musical focus is the repertoire commonly used
in English cathedrals around the world. Not only does this include
the musical settings specifically for cathedral liturgies such as
Choral Evensong, Choral Mattins or choral masses, it also takes in
the huge scope of other choral music designed for use in churches
and, nowadays, increasingly in concert halls: anthems, motets,
masses, etc.

Junge Kantorei, Old Barmbek, Hamburg
We are a friendly and open community based in a lutheran protestant
church. Last year we celebrated our 25th anniversary. This year we
are performing the "Messiah" by Georg Friedrich Händel in the
original English version. We already have two british singers and
would like to reach more english-speaking singers.
The choir’s performances in church
services, choir meetings und many other events also include
a-cappella pieces, ranging from classical music to pop. Through
gatherings at weekends, various kinds of rehearsals and the creative
activities of our members, the choir has grown into a community that
is always open to fresh ideas. New members receive a warm welcome.

Konzertchor Coburg Sängerkranz e. V The
choir Coburg Sängerkranz e.V., founded 1843, is one of the oldest
ambassadors for culture in Coburg. Since 1862 it is an active
founding member of the 'Deutscher Sängerbund' (German choir
association), now 'Deutscher Chorverband'. The great musical
potential enabled the choir only weeks after the first performance
of Verdi's Requiem (1874) to do the same in Coburg. This tradition
continues up to now. Since 2006 Marius Popp has taken over the
musical directorship of the well known choir. His programs are a
mixture of secular and non-secular well known classical pieces.
Furthermore he especially upholds the tradition of a cappella music,
old and modern.

- Sacred Heart Cologne Sacred Harp is about the joy of singing together - in four-part harmony, loudly and powerfully. We sing without an audience, without rehearsal, without director from the tunebook »The Sacred Harp«. It was first published in 1844 in the American South and is the most popular collection of songs using the shape note style of notation - a system that makes it easier to sing after notes. By the way, »Sacred Harp« has nothing with harp music: instead it is a metaphor for the human voice.

Vocalensemble Memories
- The "Vocalensemble MEMORIES" was founded in 1985 in Essen
("Ruhrgebiet", NRW, in North-West Germany). The primary motivation
for us to come together and sing was pure frustration: All choirs we
know usually sing accompained by instruments, which typically
results in "bandmusic with background vocals" rather than a pure
choral sound.
