Neerpelt, founded and conducted the children's choir "Het
Lijsternestje". Soon the group got very good results in several
competitions, e.g. "The Golden Star" in Lommel, and "The European
Music Festival for Young People" in Neerpelt, followed by numerous

Brussels Choral Society
-
The
Brussels Choral Society, an amateur symphony chorus, was founded in
1979 by Derek Thompson. Since then it has grown in numbers and
stature to become a familiar part of Brussels’ concert season
performing to professional standards with internationally known
soloists and orchestras. The chorus is made up of more than 120

Europe, the singers come from over 20 different countries.

Schola Cantorum Cantate Domino
- The Schola Cantorum
Cantate Domino Boys' Choir was founded in 1960 by its current
conductor, father Michaël Ghijs. The choir consists of pupils or
former pupils of the St-Martin's Institute in Aalst. The choir's
aim, as its name indicates, is to sing to the Lord. The choir's
repertoire reflects all periods and genres of western choral music,
from the medieval Gregorian chants, renaissance and baroque to the
work of contemporary composers. Particularly the trebles are unique
and are frequently asked to participate in various professional
choral productions. On such occasions the choir has been conducted
by conductors such as Seji Ozawa, Alexander Rahbari, Pierre
Bartholomée, Pierre Cao, Colin Davis, Rudolf Werthen, Michael Tilson
Thomas, Claudio Abbado and Philippe Herreweghe
