- The choir of the Vienna
Universität für Bodenkultur (University of Natural Resources and
Applied Life Sciences, known for short as the 'Boku') is too
ambitious to settle upon any particular stylistic direction, epoch
or geographical standpoint. As everything can be so interesting and
exciting, we want to miss nothing. At one of our concerts you could
hear Russian Romantic music, American hits, Zulu songs, Austrian and
international folk songs, Italian Renaissance music, pop ballads,
jazz arrangements, classical pieces, spirituals and much more - in
just a single evening!

KALIMERA
- We are a choir of 7
people. There are 3 soprano, 3 alto, 2 tenor, 1 basso. Our first
contact was in December 1997. All members are also members of the
choir Melker Singverein. Our profession is to have fun at singing.
On one of our last concert we were called "music of power-woman
complete by gays". We like to sing on each kind of celebration if it
is of fun for us.

Choir in Austria
- Music Fair
- Originally
music fair started as a
youth choir of the parish "Jedlesee" in the 21st district of Vienna,
and still is located there today. The youth is gone for most of the
singers, but many of them were busy raising offspring – perhaps a
future ‘New Generation’? For the last 25 years
music fair contributed a lot to church history - that
is Jedlesee’s church history: many masses were arranged, the choir
was always present at baptisms, weddings, and other church
festivals.

The choir is a private,
not-for-profit organisation. The eight members of the choir's
governing body oversee its development and guarantee its future. Dr.
Eugen Jesser became the choir's president in 2001, and its director
in 2003. Gerald Wirth became the choir's artistic director in 2001.
Today there are around 100 choristers between the ages of ten and
fourteen, divided into four touring choirs. The four choirs give
around 300 concerts and performances each year in front of almost
half a million people. Each group spends nine to eleven weeks of the
school year on tour. They visit virtually all European countries,
and they are frequent guests in Asia, Australia and the Americas.
Together with members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the
Vienna State Opera Chorus, the Wiener Sängerknaben maintain the
tradition of the imperial musicians: as Hofmusikkapelle they
provide the music for the Sunday Mass in Vienna's Imperial Chapel,
as they have done since 1498.
