Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus (NY)
are looking for a Musical Director.
The music director will be contracted
with the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus for this part-time position.
S/he will interact with all aspects of the organization, report to,
and work closely with the BPC Board of Directors, the Music
Committee, and the business administrator. S/he will also serve as
an ambassador of the Chorus by making public appearances as needed.
Specific duties include: prepare the Chorus for contracted
performances of major choral works with the Buffalo Philharmonic
Orchestra and work closely with the Orchestra’s conductors and music
director; render conducting, choral coaching, and directing services
to the Chorus; schedule and conduct regular auditions for current
and potential Chorus members, and select a core of paid singers.
S/he shall also prepare and conduct an annual self-sponsored concert
of major choral works as well as additional contracted concerts.
The music director may also be responsible for selecting and
directing a small chamber ensemble. Send a resume in electronic

Acappella Pops are looking for a Musical Director We are an auditioned 30+ member mixed voice Acappella Chorus located in Malvern, Pa. We sing 4-8 part arrangements from all musical genres including Jazz, Pop, showtunes and spirituals. We are most proud of our performances at Carnegie Hall, the World Harmony Jamborees in Montreal and Philadelphia, and the Christmas Celebration at the White House. We have also travelled to New Zealand for a 2 week singing tour and “flash mobbed” a wedding in NYC! We are seeking a director with strong musical knowledge, previous experience with acappella music direction, excellent leadership skills and an ability to inspire. Arrangement experience a plus.
